Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Think Talent Lab, Inc., doing business as Calypso HR ("Calypso HR", "Calypso", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, apply for a job or join a talent community through a page hosted on Calypso, post a job, or use a Calypso account.
Who this policy covers, and who is responsible
Calypso is software that recruiting teams use to run searches and manage candidates. This policy covers information we collect for our own purposes: our marketing site and waitlist, public careers and job pages, applications and talent community submissions made through those pages, employer job submissions, and user accounts.
When a recruiting firm or employer uses Calypso to manage candidate information in its own workspace, we process that information on its behalf and under its instructions. That firm or employer is responsible for how the information is used, and its own privacy notice applies. If you applied to a role and want to access, correct or delete your information, please contact the hiring organization as well as us.
Information we collect
Waitlist. Company name, work email address and role.
Job applications and talent community. Full name, email address, phone number, resume, LinkedIn profile URL, cover letter and answers to application questions. For talent community submissions, also role interest, current employer, location preference, salary expectation, willingness to relocate and any note you choose to add.
Employer job submissions. Company details, contact details and the job information you submit.
Accounts. Name, email address, role, login credentials (passwords are not stored in readable form) and activity within the account.
Communications. Messages you send us and email delivery information related to messages we send you.
Technical information. Our hosting infrastructure may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and request logs, to deliver and secure the service.
How we use information
- To operate, secure and support the website and Calypso accounts.
- To process applications and talent community submissions and pass them to the hiring organization that posted the role.
- To review and respond to waitlist and employer requests and to onboard customers.
- To send transactional emails such as application confirmations, account invitations and password resets.
- To help recruiters work with candidate information, including AI-assisted features such as generating candidate assessments.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect against fraud and abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Hiring organizations and recruiters. Applications and talent community submissions are shared with the organization the submission is for.
- Service providers that help us run Calypso, under contract and only to provide their services: hosting and file storage (Vercel), a managed PostgreSQL database provider, email delivery (Resend), scheduling (Cal.com), and AI model providers (including Anthropic).
- Legal and safety. When required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice where required.
AI processing
Some Calypso features send candidate or application information to AI model providers so they can generate assessments or summaries for recruiters. Those providers process the information to return results to us. A recruiter reviews the output, and these features are not used to make fully automated hiring decisions.
Cookies
We use only a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above and as required by law, or as the relevant hiring organization instructs. Waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to remove them. Sign-in sessions last up to seven days, and password reset links expire after one hour. Account invitations expire after seven days. Database backups are kept for a limited period, typically 30 days.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and signed, HTTP-only session cookies. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and certain US states, including California, have specific rights under local law. To make a request, email info@calypsohr.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If you are unhappy with our response, you may contact your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Calypso and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children
Calypso is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date above.
